On February 12, 2024, the Small and Medium Enterprise Service Center (SME) signed a cooperation agreement with Econox Laos under the Plastic Free Laos certification program together with the Hotel and Restaurant Association, with the support of the Laos-ASEAN regional economic integration project, for the development of business and trade (RELATED) of the Lao-German Cooperation Organization.
Lao PDR’s plastic-free certification provides guidance and incentives to help accommodation, food and beverage businesses reduce the use of single-use plastics to protect the environment and reduce costs.
