From January 14–16, 2026, the SME Service Center (SSC) of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI) led a delegation of over 30 Lao entrepreneurs to participate in a seminar and business networking event in Chiang Mai. The mission was part of the “Northern Thai-Laos Business Matching 2026” project, aimed at strengthening business networks along the Northern Economic Corridor.

The event provided a valuable platform for Lao and Thai entrepreneurs to exchange products and identify strategic business partners. Key sectors represented included:

  • Logistics: Import-export and trade services.
  • Hospitality: Tourism, hotels, and restaurants.
  • Food & Beverage: Coffee, processed foods, fruit juices, fresh and dried fruits, and beverages.
  • Wellness & Specialty Products: Traditional herbal medicine, beauty products, and ODOP (One District One Product) goods.

Furthermore, both parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaboratively promote and develop products. This partnership aims to enhance export readiness for international markets, specifically targeting Vietnam and China in the near future. The event was held at the Khum Kham International Convention Centre in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
