On February 12, 2024, SME Service Center, Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry continued to sign a joint venture with Econox Laos under the Plastic Free Laos Certification Program in conjunction with the Hotel and Restaurant Association, supported by the Country’s Regional Economic Integration Program to the Americas, for Business and Commercial Development (RELATED) of the German Cooperation Agency.
The certification of plastic-free countries is providing guidelines and incentives to help residential supply operators, and food and beverage businesses reduce the use of plastic that can only be used once to preserve the environment and reduce costs.
